Professor Dr Jessica Schmidt, LL.M. (Nottingham)

Jessica Schmidt is Chair of Civil Law, German, European and International Corporate and Capital Markets Law, Director of the Research Unit "Companies, Capital Markets & Taxes (CoCapT) and of the Research Unit for Family Businesses at the University of Bayreuth.

 

Professor Dr. Luzius Cavelti, LL.M. (Columbia Law School)

Luzius Cavelti holds the Chair of Tax Law at the University of Basel. His research focuses on international and Swiss tax law, the digitalisation of tax law and tax policy. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute for Swiss and International Tax Law. 

Professor Dr. Moritz Brinkmann

Moritz Brinkmann holds the chair for civil law and German and international insolvency law at the University of Bonn. At the same time, he is director of the Institute for German and International Civil Procedure Law there and a member of the Centre for European Business Law.

Professor Dr. Matthias Jahn

Matthias Jahn holds the chair for criminal law, criminal procedural law, economic criminal law and legal theory at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and is head of the Research Center for Law and Practice of Criminal Defense. The research focuses on the core subjects of criminal law and criminal procedural law as well as economic criminal law. 

Professor Dr. Katja Langenbucher

Katja Langenbucher holds the Chair of Civil Law, Business Law and Banking Law in the House of Finance at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. She also holds an affiliated professorship SciencesPo in Paris.

Stephan Kudert holds the chair of ABWL, in particular Business Taxation and Auditing, at the Faculty of Economics of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). His research focus is, among other things, on international tax law.

Professor Dr. Wolgang Kessler

Wolfgang Kessler , tax advisor, holds the Chair of Business Taxation and is Chairman of the Board of the Center for Business and Law at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg/i.Breisgau. The focus of his academic work lies in the areas of legal forms, group tax law and international tax law.

Professor Dr. Gerald Spindler

Gerald Spindler is a professor for civil law, commercial and business law, comparative law, multimedia and telecommunication law at the University of Göttingen and focuses on legal issues of e-commerce, internet and telecommunication law, copyright and intellectual property law on the one hand and problems of corporate and capital market law on the other hand.

Professor Dr. Reinhard Bork

Reinhard Bork was Managing Director of the Seminar for Civil Procedure and General Procedural Law at the University of Hamburg from 1990 to 2022. This included the fields of civil law, commercial and corporate law and business law, especially civil procedural law, in particular insolvency and arbitration law.

Professor Dr. Alexander Schopper

Alexander Schopper holds the chair for corporate law and is head of the Institute for Corporate and Tax Law at the University of Innsbruck. His current research projects focus on stock corporation law, equity compensation law, leasing and contract for work and services law.

Professor Dr. Martin Henssler

Martin Henssler has been Executive Director of the Institute for Lawyers' Law, the European Center for Liberal Professions and the Documentation Center for European Lawyers' and Notaries' Law at the University of Cologne since 1991. Between 1998 and 2022, he was also Executive Director of the Institute for Labor and Business Law. 

Professor Dr. Carmen Bachmann

Carmen Bachmann holds the Chair of Business Taxation and heads the Institute for Corporate Accounting, Finance and Taxation at the University of Leipzig. Her research focuses in particular on model-theoretical analyses at the interface of corporate finance, tax valuation issues and information technology.

Professor Dr Christoph A. Schaltegger

Christoph A. Schaltegger is Professor of Political Economy at the University of Lucerne. His research interests include financial policy, tax policy, economic policy, political economy and federalism. He also teaches public finance at the University of St. Gallen.

Professor Dr Christoph Watrin

Christoph Watrin is Director at the Institute for Corporate Accounting and Taxation at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. The Institute deals with standards, legal norms and laws in the field of external accounting and tax law. The incentive effects of standards, corporate policy design options with regard to standards and normative alternatives for improving regulation and legislation are examined.

Professor Dr Thomas Riehm

Thomas Riehm holds the Chair of German and European Private Law, Civil Procedure Law and Legal Theory at the University of Passau. He is also the spokesperson for the Institute for Digital Society Law (IRDG) there.

Prof. Dr. Rainer Wernsmann

Rainer Wernsmann holds the Chair of Constitutional and Administrative Law, in particular Finance and Tax Law at the University of Passau.

Professor Dr. Stefan Huber, LL.M. (Cologne/Paris)

Stefan Huber holds the Chair of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Insolvency Law, European and International Private and Procedural Law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. The focus of his research activities is the treatment of cross-border situations with all their facets as well as the modernisation of classical areas of civil law and civil procedure law.

Professor Dr Ulrich Torggler

Ulrich Torggler holds the chair of corporate law, with special emphasis on the interrelation with general civil law, and he is also chairman of the Institute for Corporate and Commercial Law at the University of Vienna. His research focuses on corporate law, corporate and capital market law.
